Dogri Dishes- "MEETHA PAT" (SWEET RICE)

Ingredients
1 Cup Basmati Rice, 2 Cup water, 1/2 cup Sugar, 3-4 petals of Saffron, 10 Almonds Chopped,1/4 cup Raisins, 2 Cardamom, 2 table spoon ghee.
Method
Add saffron in 1 cup of water with rice and boil the rice till half done.
Heat ghee in a heavy pan, add cardamom seeds to the half done rice and stir. Then add sugar, mix so that the grains do not break.
Add 1/2 cup of boiling hot water and cook rice on the slow heat.
Mix chopped almonds and raisins after one minute and turn off the heat.
Serve hot and enjoy.
